Platforms/Versions Adobe® After Effects® CS3 or CS4 on Macintosh or Windows ProblemAfter Effects CS3 and CS4 come with a bundled copy of Color Finesse LE, but when I apply the plug-in, it asks for a registration code. Where can I find that code? Color Finesse LE needs a registration code (serial number) different from the one you use to install After Effects itself. Important Note: All support for the bundled version of Color Finesse is handled by Adobe Technical Support, not by Synthetic Aperture Tech Support. Solution The Color Finesse registration code is located in the same place as your Adobe CS3/CS4 serial number. The Color Finesse registration code will start with "CFLE". If you have the retail package, it will be on a sticker on the DVD case, next to the CS3/CS4 serial number. If you purchased the downloadable version, it will be in the same email as your CS3/CS4 serial number. If you have a site/volume license, it will be located on your Master License document, as well as on the Adobe licensing web site. Do a search for recent orders and you'll see that After Effects has two serial numbers listed; one will be for Color Finesse. You may need to contact your license administrator/IT dept to get this info. Another option is to contact your Adobe volume sales rep. If all of that fails, you'll need to talk to Adobe Tech Support. We're not involved with registration code distribution here; that's all handled by Adobe. If you're told otherwise by Adobe Tech Support, ask to speak to a "Level 2" tech—they've been trained on the registration code issue. Related Documents
